Tricare is much cheaper than Obama care

The Health Insurance provided through Tricare for soldier and family members are unbeatable and merely unmatched by competitors in the private sector.

Good overall care with SGLI but would be better at a lower rate.

100% coverage at no cost and with no cap for the Soldier. An unbeatable health care plan for the Family. You get to keep the plan forever for a small cost if you retire, if you separate after a few years you can take the plan with you as well for a short period of time.

There is a lot of paperwork, but at the end of it all, you will be seen by a doc and they will usually order the tests that you want/ need. Had X-rays and MRI done same day for knee and shoulder injuries. They (Tricare) will send you to a specialist in the local area if they done have one employed at your base.

Doctors are not necessarily of the highest quality. They are likely to attempt to medicate any problems away.

Soldier is 100% covered. Appointments can be hard to get. Family has more options for off post care.
