Health Insurance

Great insurance for both Soldier and family. Cannot be beat buy any civilian job. The down side is that specialty care takes some time to get appointments.

I never pay anything for myself and tricare insurance is a great deal for the family. The only real weak part of the package is eye glasses and contacts for your dependents

Well it is governemnt provided health care so the worst thing is that you may have to wait to see a specialist. sometimes the waits can be long, i wished they outsourced more appointments to outside agencies.

Using the army medical system is bordering on torture. Going to he er on post can take nearly a day at times. have to go of post and submit paperwork afterward and hope it will be covered. Can't schedule appointments for family members to be seen more than a month out, if available at all.

Inexpensive but sometimes not the best. The families doctor is almost always better than the service member's doctor.

The best part of the Army's Health Insurance is that it costs nothing - no copays for Dr appointments, prescriptions, or special equipment (i.e. - CPAP machines)
