The army will give you all the necessary training to complete your job. It's up to you how much more training you get. if you are smart you can get a great trade and great experience and can be extremely competitive in and out of the service.

Schools are required before or shortly after achieving most ranks. Additionally, the main job of an Army unit that is not deployed is to train.
