The training is the best of any company in the world. It can be a matter of life and death. There are many opportunities for growth and broadening through this program. No one is pigeon holed into a dead head job. All training has real world application.

Formal job training & schools available.

Job training is great but further training beyond initial job training is spotty. Sometimes you can get technical certifications and sometimes you cannot.

Always willing to train and lead soldiers. Regardless of what you signed up to do or job specialty you are doing, most likely you will learn new skills and additional training for other jobs. Also great to build or add onto your resume.

Training is below the bell curve level, meaning they train to the minimum, both in the actual training, and what audience they are training to.

Very dependent on military occupational skill and branch. The civilian sector seems to have fewer management positions than generations past, so transitioning at a later date (ie, after 20 years) is harder than expected as fewer compatible positions exist in private sector.

OJT for the most part but they do try very hard to give you the skills beforehand.

All required training is provided by the Army.

Based on your Leadership, your Job Training can be very effective or it can become a Self- Taught bad learning experience, I have had the experience of seeing it from both sides and it is always more effective when you have those in your corner who want nothing more than to see you succeed and go beyond your fullest potential to stand above your peers.
