Wills, powers of attorney, and tax advice are all the Army does well in terms of legal assistance. Defense counsels, while there are some truly excellent people who put their all into what they can do, are just like public defenders: over-taxed, over-loaded with too many cases, never given adequate time to prepare defense, and unable to advance in that field of law due to rotations to prosecution teams, operational law, and other departments.
