Great retirement plan especially if you do TSP. If you retire before social security age you can draw from OPM supplemental until social security kicks in

Postal Employees are covered under the Federal Employee Retirement System which is not as good as Civil Service Retirement System which it replaced in 1984

The current (2017) congressional oversight committee is trying to reduce our retirement pay and increase the expense to all federal employees. They have come right out to say its a great way to force the higher paid workforce to retire now.

If one intends to spend entire career with organization it is acceptable, though not exceptionally generous. If not, sick leave not of good value for time employed.

It's better if you're in management than a peon like me.
