This is how they achieve the "work when you want" saying. It's become a pyramid scam now. If a driver gets three new drivers to sign up, you get 3% of their pay for the first month. After a couple of years, you probably won't be a driver in your own town anymore, because there will be so many new drivers being recruited, constantly. After Uber takes out their "fees" for each ride, you're lucky to make $ .90 a mile. When the area becomes saturated with drivers, you're lucky to get one ride request per hour. Uber is good for the rider, the software techs in the company's upper echelon and the CEO. It's not good for the drivers, because you're expendable, right along with your vehicle."
