Employee discount is excellent 75% of most procedures, 25% off any that do not qualify for the 75%. This includes surgeries, radiographs, bloodwork, etc... Free core vaccines, 50% off preventatives, 20% off all other prescriptions and medications. Discounts on carried pet foods. $1000 in Continuing Education reimbursement every year for credentialed technicians.

VCA shines with it's stellar employee discounts. This honestly is the best thing VCA offers as a benefit - FT employees receive 75% off (RX is roughly 20%) and all core vaccines, free.

Once of the best perks of working for the company, although even with a significant discount its costly and lesser discount to see specialists so as an employee I cannot afford to seek that care for my pets.

Not sure if it still is the same, but I received 75% off my total bill for pet care. A HUGE benefit. Many techs stayed at Alameda JUST for that discount which is very helpful if you need it for your pet, however many employees abused the discount having multiple pets and unpaid bills. Not sure how long the discount will last.

By far the best employee discount I have EVER had the pleasure of being offered. With VCA's name behind you there are often non-VCA hospitals that will offer a professional discount.
