Sick Leave

I never called out sick but there was always a lot of sick time I was offered

You get 3 paid sick days. The hospital is medium sized but if one employee is sick, because of how closely everyone needs to work that spreads like wild fire in this type of environment. You tend to use your days very fast and then have to work while sick and still spread around the sickness. The whole hospital gets sick and the epidemic continues for weeks, it's a horrible cycle that needs to IMPROVE heavily.

Time adds up especially after your 1 year

The sick days isn't worth it everytime I look back i only have about 8 hrs..smh

We only get them because the city requires it

Our manager would be extremely upset if someone was sick and needed a day off. We could not without getting in trouble the next day.

Three 8 hour sick days per calendar year.
