Good 401K but no pension

I like retirement plan and 401k

Basic 5%/5% contribution. Vested after 2 years.

Would have marked it as 5 star but they took away the basic 5%

5% match and 5% given

When I left two years ago, it was 5% into 401k for free whether you contributed or not, plus an additional 1 to 1 match up to another 5 %.....so if you put in 5%, you were getting 15%. And it was deposited every month (or bi-weekly), so you could grow a significant amount even after 6 months of working there. It was one of my negotiation points when I left ..... my next employer had to make up for that with hard dollars in my annual salary.
