Verizon Wireless is not good about FMLA whatsoever. I had 2 months on which I was fighting between Verizon and MetLife simply to get paid. (I left in June and was not paid until October.) They frequently ask questions regarding the FMLA, which is HIGHLY illegal.

This program is excellent but not well supported by management.

Bereavement is case pending. If a family remember dies you could be out for anywhere from a week to 4. Bereavement is paid based off whether or not you've been there for a year or more. If you have then you get your full 2 week hourly check. And a prorated commission amount (target commission is roughly 1300). Anytime less than a year it's hard to say.

FMLA is there when you have medical emergency.Management keep threatning employees not to use FMLA and they always retaliate by declining your vacation time.Retaliation is BIG in Verizon.

I don't know too much about this except that after so many days of sick leave the FMLA will kick in for you.

FMLA is good, employees can abuse this benefit at times. Lately it's been hard to get accepted for, but with proper medical paperwork, there usually isn't an issue

Again, FMLA doesn't retire quota, and your base is not enough to survive on, so you are kind of forced to work regardless of your life situations.
