Copays have gone up recently, but not Verizon's fault. The insurance companies had to make adjustments when the Affordable Care Act went into place. The provider network is vast so there's several options available. Free annual exam, 2 free dental cleanings a year, and they cover a large portion of the cost for most medical procedures.
