Reduced or Flexible Hours

The idea was great. You work 9 hours M-Th. Then Fridays were either 8 Hours, or "On call" This gave families time to do things together. To effect this you have a "backup" at work, presumably somebody who can cover for you. And for the most part does. However many in Management, though on such a schedule, do not take them. These same managers tend to look down on those who do take their day on call, and you are treated a little lower class for doing so.
