The funds offered were abysmal. No index fund, relatively high fee loads. It was clear that the family that owns the company was offered a very heavy commission for signing up with the plan manager, and the plan manager made their money back in spades. Vesting practices verge on outright theft of retirement savings. Honestly you'd be better off putting your retirement savings directly into an IRA than using the company plan.
The best thing was that you can choose not to participate in the plan, and instead save on your own (no automatic enrollment).
