Life insurance was a big offering, there where several plans to choose from. and I believe if you already had a plan and they would approve of it the family could keep it. I think it was because the Natural Gas business was very dangerous.

They provide the basics. I would make sure to tell your wife that if you ever die at work, take a close look at Williams record of catastrophic failures. They should pay you a lot more than what life insurance would pay.
