I don't believe there is an actual policy about this. Fairly certain it is manager's discretion and as long as you don't abuse it, they will generally pay you I think up to 3 days. If you are sick more than 3 days, you have to go on short-term disability. They don't give you a certain number of days because they don't want people to just take extra days they haven't used.
