Accenture š, how have promotion outcomes gone?
My net worth is 343k as a 26 year old. Why do i still feel behind? Current salary is 140k. Friends in tech have been making 190k-350k from college up until now.
Does anyone else cringe a bit when they see a former intern, or similar, have āex-BCGā, āformer Bainā, āPwC alumā, etc. on their LinkedIn headline? I donāt like it generally, and I donāt feel like an intern even counts. I truly hope it helps someone get a job, just cringy.
List of the worst of the worst people, those unfit for society: - Those who recline their seats on airplanes - Those who donāt return their grocery carts - Those who listen to audio on speaker on public transport Am I missing anyone?
Do you find that your team members in India take more sick days than US? On my team in the US, we work from home if we get a cold but are generally still able to work. Being too sick to work happens to each of our US team maybe 1-3 times a year. My team in India takes 1-2 sick days per month. Are they actually too sick to work and that level of illness is more common? Or is there a cultural difference that you don't work if not feeling well?
The key to being promoted (beyond capability) is to be likeable. To be likeable, you need to be relatable. To be relatable, you need to have a wide range of hobbies and interests and appeal to familiarity - eg have kids, watch sports, play golf, etc.
Seems like promos were better than expected but the associated raises were surprisingly low. Stay at level raises were incredibly low
i was put up for promotion (first time was 6 months ago), did not expect to get promoted, and am now a manager. This will be a... memorable experience for all parties involved. My practice leads have been pinging me congratulations š meanwhile I am like š 20% raise put me at over 150k, so thats cool to hit in my 20s
25% raise and promo to manager but many many others were not nearly as lucky
200 as a M? Are you in strategy?
It was good for some and sucks for others. I got promoted so Iām happy.
