Folks who are still in consulting - with AI taking away a lot of the notetaking/synthesis writing/first pass deck building work, are you still grinding long hours? If yes, what has been driving those long hours? - from someone who left before AI took off and is contemplating an offer to return as a project manager. Thanks!
How much lifetime income would you be giving up by moving to Europe and working at a multinational company there, instead of a corporate career here in the US? I know salaries are lower in Europe. Seems like promos were better than expected but the associated raises were surprisingly low. Stay at level raises were incredibly low
i was put up for promotion (first time was 6 months ago), did not expect to get promoted, and am now a manager. This will be a... memorable experience for all parties involved. My practice leads have been pinging me congratulations 😊 meanwhile I am like 😐 20% raise put me at over 150k, so thats cool to hit in my 20s
25% raise and promo to manager but many many others were not nearly as lucky

It was good for some and sucks for others. I got promoted so I’m happy.
