Is anyone working in SHOPIFY as Technical Support Representative? If yes,
A close teammate told me they were put on a PIP. I want to be a supportive friend and help them map out their metrics, but HR has already started removing them from long-term project channels. How do you actually help a peer survive a PIP without painting a target on your own back?
I’m in a difficult position. Earlier this year, I was ready to resign because I was looking for better compensation and growth. My manager and several senior leaders asked me to stay, promising better opportunities. This week, I received a promotion, which I genuinely appreciate, but the overall outcome still isn’t where I had hoped. At the same time, I have another opportunity that aligns more closely with my long-term goals. I’m confused if I should leave or stay due to guilt ? :(
🤔 Is loyalty to your employer ever actually worth it?
If you had two offers, one at a stable big corporate company and another at a small start up, and the salary was comparable, what else would you look at to make your decision about where you want to work?
Got put on a PIP after years of decent reviews. Did nothing on the PIP (at all.). Got several angry phone calls to my personal cell from manager and HR. Ignored them and stopped coming in to work. Within a week had *several* solid offers for better jobs. Took a couple months off and now have a great new job that pays 2x and is a double promo. So PIP possibly should stand for "time to get a more interesting, higher paid job with tons of new RSUs".
Hi, honestly don't know if you've gotten any help so far based on what you need? I'm a Shopify Website Developer and I'll love to assist you.
I don't work there anymore but I may be able to answer some questions for you. They are a really great company to work for or they were when I worked there anyhow.
