The communication and candidate experience were excellent up until the final interview, when I was unfortunately ghosted. This was disappointing, especially after such great communication from two different recruiters. I waited for four days before reaching out for an update, and two hours later, I received my rejection email. Candidates should not have to chase an outcome. My advice to recruiters at 1Password would be to be upfront with candidates about their status right away. It would save candidates from waiting and wondering for days. It wasn’t the best way for the process to end, given how well everything had gone up until that point.

Spoke with the recruiter. She was a little rude. Made me feel bad about one of my questions (“wow, that was a long question” it had two parts) Asked me my salary range. I listed one that fell within the range posted in the job description, and she basically told me that “the posts says X range, but we aim for X.” Which was the very low end of the range so that there was “room for growth.” She told me I’d hear back within 48 hours and ghosted me. Lots of red flags here, which was a bummer because I read such great reviews. Feels like I dodged a bullet.
