I spoke to several people throughout the interview process and over the course of a few weeks. The top leadership in the company is very involved in hiring and I spoke to team leaders, the CTO and the CEO as part of the process. They were interested in my background and what I could bring to the company, but also interested in what I wanted out of the position and for the future.
