Had a good call with the recruiter who was clear about the role and expectations. Then I took the technical screening where there was two problems in two hours. I finished, successfully completing both problems with highly clean code. Waited a week and received a rejection email from a no reply email. No feedback, no justification, nothing. Companies like 8am that reject candidates who meet their requirements and successfully complete their screenings, yet don’t even give a chance to interview are the biggest problem in the tech world. Experienced the same process as the review posted on 2/12 - had an initial conversation with the recruiter, compensation/process expectations were set, and a technical screen was immediately sent out. I completed the coderbyte and submitted within a few days. Received a follow-up late the next week that my submission was being reviewed as I completed it in Javascript and not Ruby. I received a canned rejection email the following week without even getting a chance to speak with a hiring manager. Save yourself the trouble - the same interview questions are used for all candidates, and we are treated identically. Maybe revamp the process and initiate a technical screen after speaking with a manager to value your applicant's time more in the future.

A bit light technically the first day and an appropriate amount the second day. The second day seemed a bit long. Maybe the take home coding question code have been used a bit more during the interview. Possible a technical review or presentation of the solution.
