Not very professional and disorganized. A team member had reached out to me on LinkedIn (which was confusing in itself because they never stated their position or if they were a recruiter) sending me the job description and then asking for my resume. I complied because it seemed like a good position and I was interested in the company. Then they stated I made it to an in person interview (no phone interview) and set up a time. They had said who I would be meeting with, but when I actually went to the interview, it was with two people and then they pulled in a 3rd person. It was all very informal, which is fine (I think they desperately needed someone) but what I found unprofessional is during the interview, as a side note, they decided to tell me this was a 12 month freelance position (knowing I was coming from a full time position or they didn't research me well). Nowhere did it say on the job description they sent me that it was a freelance position, it even said there were benefits on the description they sent which would apply it's through A+E. They were nice enough and seemed interested and told me they would know their choice by the end of the week. I never heard from them again and I just thought for a company like A+E they could have been more professional and thorough. I genuinely felt like they wasted my time but at least now I know to ask more questions before the interview process. I would like to think it was just that particular department that operated in this way. But, I would suggest anyone interviewing A+E, that if it doesn't explicitly state permanent position as a staff member to ask because apparently they do a lot of temp hiring.
