Applied for the role online, then had to post a video interview of myself. Waited a few weeks which was a long time to then be invited for interview. I was asked to do a certain date but had issues with that date and asked to change due to other commitments so I had to change flights and things to attend this interview thinking I had a chance. Arrived for interview and was made very welcome and told it was very informal and to relax. I felt like interview went really well apart from the fact I had no knowledge of Gas but they said in interview who does before working with A-Gas. I left feeling positive but how wrong I was. I was then told by email I was unsuccessful and if I wanted feedback to book into a time slot which I did. I was then called by the company and told I was very good and confident but had no knowledge of gas which was a negative and I was to comfortable in my interview and made a “remark” which was inappropriate which for the life of me I have no idea what it was. The person interviewing me was happy to swear during the interview but they obviously needed to score me down for something. They gave the job to an internal recruit which is more annoying because they interviewed someone on the day after my interview after I was told to try accommodate them and I did by changing flights. If they knew it was going internal the whole time why ask someone to go all that way to not give them a job? It’s put me off ever applying with this company again. The process was slow and laboured, the interview was fine but interviewers need to be more professional and then to say I was to relaxed is very unfair. Overall I would swerve this and seems if you are in the company you will be fine and if on outside no chance.
