The first-stage interview lasted around 45 minutes. I was interviewed by two Counsels in the Corporate team.
This interview started with a run-through of my CV and work experience. I was asked to speak about my experience, and I was questioned more on certain roles and experiences that were applicable and related to the role I was interviewing for.
I then got asked "Why law/why did I want to pursue a legal career?", and "Why corporate law".
Next, I was asked some competency-based questions, I.e. talk about a time where you have had to deal with a difficult colleague/client.
We then had a brief discussion about my interests and hobbies, and how skills I had gained from these could be applicable to the role.
Finally, I was given the opportunity to ask questions.
I was successful with the first interview, so the final stage interview was with the Paralegal who was moving on from the role I interviewed for. It was more of an informal 'coffee catch-up' and lasted 30 minutes. I had the opportunity to ask more specific questions about the role etc.
