Very weird interview and got ghosted by the HR team. I interviewed at Allen & Overy Jakarta office on February 2024. I applied online from the website & 5 days later got an invite to their HR interview at the Jakarta office. It was a somewhat strange interview as there were 2 candidates in the same room and felt like the HR team weren't interested AT ALL or asked us further questions about our experiences. The interview was conducted 45 minutes late, questions being asked were average, mostly about why join the firm, our motivations to join the legal industry, expectations about the position, the teams that we would work with. 50% of the time HR team only talked about the toxic culture within the firm and how a lot of people/team have resigned due to the boss, etc. After the interview, the HR team gave us 3 days to inform them whether we want to move forward to the next recruitment process, and I sent an email to them the next day saying yes to the next stage. I have waited for 2+ weeks and still haven't received any feedbacks. Not even a thank you from them, yet the interview was 45 minutes late and it was done in an unprofessional manner. I think ghosting candidates is common here and the HR team should evaluate this.
