A question about databases: how would you go about normalizing the database? I had never received formal training in database administration, but had they asked me how I would organize the fields and tables of a database to minimize redundancy and dependency, I would have had a better answer. So I guess that it my fault for not knowing the terminology.

I have heard the term normalization, but I'm not familiar with what it means.
