I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at ABF Freight (Romulus, MI) in Jul 2016
Interview
Unnecessarily excessive and a long wait to finally get hired on. There were 3 stages. I filled out the online application yet still went into the terminal to introduce myself and gave the TM a copy of my resume, this helped GREATLY! Then I had an interview with the Hiring Manager. After the interview I had to take an online test to check my aptitude. Not too difficult. Then the Terminal Manager. This was now the kicker; I almost had to drive down to Dayton Ohio to meet the Regional VP for an interview. Galacticly Stupid and unnecessary! Thankfully he was at a Golf/Company Seminar in Ypsilanti MI which worked out well for me; he agreed to meet me there for the interview. They need to find a more fluid and realisticc way to hire people on.
In the process now, had an in person interview. Filed out an online application. Waiting on the next step, which is the skills test, the not sure what the next step will be.
