Interview
Typical MBA interview process. Sent resume to HR and went through two phone interviews (HR and a Partners).Afterwards received a modeling and writing test to be sent back to them in 3 hours. Invited to a super day, which lasted about 5 hours and concluded with a small cocktail reception at a bar in their building. Super day was a bit chaotic and consisted of 15+ interviews that lasted 15 minuets each. Interviews ranged from Analysts to Partners and were both qualitative and technical. Being a smaller firm, it's important to meet as many people as possible since you will be working with everyone on a daily basis, but there is no way this format enabled the company to adequately meet each candidate and really understand if they were a good fit and had the necessary skills for the job. As proof and evidence, they had each candidate write a personal essay AFTER the super day. This is where their interview process deviated from normal investment banking interview process. It was highly unusual and looked a bit novice and unprofessional.
