      Director Interview

      Oct 15, 2015
      Anonymous employee
      Phoenix, AZ
      Accepted offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at AIG (Phoenix, AZ) in Aug 2012

      Interview

Initially there were 4 phone screen interviews. Recruiter, CTO and two VP level interviewers. Then there was an on-site interview. During the interview process, they touted the high bonus earning potential which made the company seem progressive to connecting goals to pay. It turned out not to be the case, it was impossible to actually earn the bonus.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

One VP asked if I knew how to do a JQUERY which I found to be a ridiculous question for the position.

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at AIG in Apr 2022

      Interview

Typical conversation with the HR rep ... friendly, like the experience, seemed like a great fit, etc. And then, nothing. For more than a month. No answer to follow ups, even just asking if they've moved on. Finally, 5 weeks to the day of the interview I get an email that said they've picked someone else (shocker, Lol).

      Anonymous employee
      New York, NY
      Accepted offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at AIG (New York, NY)

      Interview

It's very intense - lots of interviews in one day, with lots of folks asking a wide range of questions. Some of the folks I interviewed with weren't folks I spoke to again for over a year, others became close collaborators. The questions weren't as targeted as I would have liked and the process was so grueling that I wouldn't have taken the job if I hadn't already freelanced with the team and loved it.

How do you approach a project?
