      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at AKQA (New York, NY) in Jul 2015

      Interview

The interview process is fairly basic and the typical question you could expect in an interview. However, this office has a lot of work in terms of hiring professionalism. The recruiter contacted me after I had ruled out the position, but explain there had been dept. reorganization and they were ready to hire for the role. After seven spread out 1:1 interviews over two+ months, the recruiter was unresponsive to several attempts to answer questions about the position. I found out that they were still trying to hire senior levels before committing to the role I interviewed. It's not complicated, you interview people for roles that are vacant. Some advice: Don't waste people's time and energy preparing for an interview if your company is not ready to hire. Also communicate efficiently with your potential hires or let them go. People are excited about what the company is doing, don't take good candidates for granted. Train your recruiting team to be in sync with all the departments before reaching out to candidates. I could never recommend anyone to interview with AKQA after this experience. I didn't feel the need to disclose names, but I hope the NYC office makes changes to insure that others don't have to go through my same experience.
