This was one of the most awkward interview experiences of my life. I'm a Freelance Creative Director/ Copywriter, but it appears they were hiring for a Senior Copywriter position. I was told that they don't give anyone the Creative Director title unless they have at least 15 years of experience, which I know isn't true. I met with 2 CDs and a project manager.
After telling the projected manager why I switched from full-time to freelance (to make more money and have more control over my schedule), she said "OK, but why did you REALLY leave?" I felt like she was digging for dirt- either on my co-worker or on my last agency. I did not provide her with any.
