What a joke the hiring process of this company is! What an absolute joke! So, here is what happened to me. 1. I applied in May 2015. I was phone interviewed by several people. They wanted to gauge me. I spoke with at least 2-4 people on the phone on several different occasions. 2. After several months(Sep 2015), one of the manager interviewed me in person. We talked to each other for about an hour. He seemed interested but said that I had to go to PA to meet their engineers in person. 3. I went to PA in Oct 2018 to meet their people in person. I met 4-6 people. Talked to everyone from engineers to the person in pay role. Everything went well. They told me they will make their decision in 2-3 weeks. 4. Not heard from them till December. I contacted them about the position. I was told that its end of the year review time, so they won't make their decision. 5. Contacted them again in March 2016, and I was told that management has changed and AMETEK has not decided. 6. Contacted them in between and nothing... In between above, I was told several times to be patient and they will make the decision soon. 7. Around Oct/Nov of 2016, after I contacted them, I was told that the position has been filled and I was not selected. 8. To summarize, my interview process lasted for about 1.5 years and resulted in a NO. 9. What a joke it was! Highly unprofessional and if you apply to this company, be ready for a long interview process.
