My first job interview was a whirlwind. I arrived early, clutching my resume, and nervously adjusted my tie. The receptionist smiled, which was a small comfort. My mind went blank for a moment, but I managed to stumble through an explanation. The second, a more relaxed man, inquired about my extracurricular activities and why I wanted the role. My hands were clammy, and I definitely said "um" too many times. I tried to emphasize my enthusiasm and willingness to learn. They asked about my strengths and weaknesses, a classic question I'd rehearsed, but still felt unprepared for. The interview lasted about 30 minutes. As I left, I felt a mix of relief and anxiety. I knew I wasn't perfect, but I'd tried my best. It was a valuable learning experience, regardless of the outcome.
