The Donald Trump hiring process.
Phone interview, then onsite interview with an “assessment” a team exercise, and later a panel interview. They didn’t provide much information about the assessment or what the team based exercise was, even when asked prior. In going through that it was a total lack of professionalism. Their team based exercise was a surprise exercise where you were with your competition for the role doing a team excercises. They then set everyone up by forcing you to provide performance feedback on your competition. They thought that part was funny as when providing the directions to the team observers from the company were giggling, obviously knowing it would make people uncomfortable.
Can you say The Apprentice?
Candidates expressed their lack of comfort with going through that part.
They didn’t care. When arriving for this they wouldn’t speak to any of the candidates. They just funneled us all in without informing us of anything. Very impersonnel.
Fortunately the people competing against me were nice. The company did not represent themselves well to me.
It said they like to play and enjoy head games with people and they don’t care much.
I want to repeat that there was absolutely Nothing professional about their team based assessment in how it was managed, communicated, and structured.
The corporate screening recruiter was very nice.
