In addition to phone interviews, I met with 11 people on one grueling on-site interview day. On the same day, I had to present a very intensive case study which took me days to prepare. All signals were very positive- they even said they thought I would be a good fit for multiple roles. ASAPP finally had their outside recruiter call me nearly two weeks after the final interview to say they were going to pass, with no feedback at all. I requested feedback, which they didn't provide to me or even to the recruiter. If you ask people to invest ~20 hours of their time for the recruiting process including sharing a valuable case study, at least provide some information to the candidate about your decision.
