Interview
Asapp recruiter found me on linkedin and contact me and chat with me. I pass the phone screening with hiring manager, next step is the take-home-one-week assignment. I did the take home pretty fast and I send back to them. After a few days, they make appointment with me for to do a presentation on it. The hiring manager is very technical and nice. The presentation is video conference to hiring manager and one senior data engineer. They ask why my data-model is designed in certain way. And why my analytics SQL is written in whatever way. I explain to them why I design the way-I-designed. I did very well on their difficult assignment. After 3 days, they send me an reject email. The take home is mostly data-modeling and SQL-writing. The position I applied is just require writing SQL. The take-home-assignment is actually pretty big project. I did stay up very late at night to work on it. Due to I have my regular full time job to do.
