I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at ASDA (Chelmsford, England) in Jul 2013
Interview
It was a group interview. Candidates were taken into a room and sat round a table. It wasn't really a typical interview, it was more ice breaking and team building activities.
The first task involved passing a toilet roll around the table and everyone taking as many pieces off as they like. They must then write a fact on each piece of toilet roll they have ripped off and read it to the group.
The next task was having to make a tower out of spaghetti and marshmallows in small groups. This was to monitor how candidates interacted with one another.
If they receive a job offer, they arrange a time to come in with documentation to photocopy and as part of a casual chat answer some standard interview questions - so there's proof the questions were asked at some point.

It was an easy interview process for me, they explained everything very very clearly and lots of lots of help was given to arrange the times and dates of the calls and interview.
