I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at ASDA (Durham, England) in Oct 2015

      Interview

Get over the nerves and you'll be fine. This is how mine went- I went in and we all had name badge which you have to wear(mine was broke so struggled putting it on) then 4 staff members came and sat around the room each staff member was watching 4 of us (16 of us) then they all said hello and how long they worked for asda! Then we were told there were jobs as a porter, checkouts and grocery pickers. Then we were asked to go into twos and we had to introduce the person next to us by finding out information about then (Name, why they want to work for asda, what 2 items they would take to moon) then we got put into groups of 4 and were asked to create a name for our groups in 30seconds we called ourselves asda hopefuls (straight to the point) then we had to say why we called ourselves that. Next we were asked to as a group pick someone we want to build, i knew what was next so we said a square then we had to build it out of marshmallows and spaghetti (which is fun) Next we had to sell this to the group. Be careful not to be to loud or try to much to get noticed they are looking for someone that is going to be friendly and works well in a team. Next we got a tour which was good. Then we gave our right to work documents a few people got turned away because they brought driving licenses which they cant accept! After that we were told to fill in a questionnaire (weight, height, doctors details) and availability form i popped on mine i could work any time for all 7 days. They then told us that if we do pickers job we would start at 6. We were told if we were successful we would get a call. I then got a call within a hour to invite me to a 1:2 for the grocery picker(not job i wanted but that is fine) i went to the interview the next day (TODAY) it was very informal. Was asked loads of questions and told about job Said they would call me if successful and if not. Good Fun, Waiting for call which i will get either 02/10/2015-03/10/2015.. I am a very nervous person and would say as soon as i got there i was fine, Very warming

Ok. A lot of questions though and they don’t really seem relevant to the position. Not sure why you get asked when you’ve gone above and beyond to be honest
