I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at ASML (Eindhoven) in Oct 2012
Interview
via recruiter. CV sent. No phone interview. Directly face-to-face interview. 3 hours distributed between 2 managers. Interviewers very friendly. They explained quite a lot on the company and job. I had the chance to explain my experience so far, they were pretty interested about it.
I applied through college or university. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at ASML (Veldhoven) in Jul 2012
Interview
Lengthy and multiple days with many people. There was a in-house day and invited lot of candidate and short listed few through multiple round one to one talk with many people.
I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at ASML
Interview
I applied in the group of Overlay and Focus. After selected for my CV and letter, I had a 1h telephone interview with a group leader and a project manager. Although I stated that I did not have previous experience since I was completing my PhD, they invited me for a 4h interview with 6 different persons (the HR was barely able to speak English). Two days before the interview they told me I had to do an online assessment (quite a short notice...)
After the interview they were supposed to call me within the week, but they did not. After several days I called and they told me that I had a perfect matching with the company, a great understanding of what I would have done, but no experience (in principle they should have known it from my CV). They did not even reimbourse my travel. Very very poorly organized company, though they do interesting things.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
No difficult questions. Usual STAR method and then they explain you something they do and ask you how you would solve the problem (sometimes there is not a precise answer so you should just think a bit about it). Very easy. Check some papers from Delft/Eindhoven university and ASML.
