I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at ASPCA
Interview
I was contacted by the recruiter who then connected me to the hiring manager. I had a zoom with the hiring manager, then a group zoom interview with a team, then asked to complete a project, then another zoom group interview with potential peers to showcase project, then final interviews with VP's. The entire time the hiring manager gave the impression that I was a strong candidate. I accommodated them and my already full time schedule to complete all interviews within 1.5 weeks. I took time off from my job to concentrate on landing this job as by the time I was scheduled for VP interviews, I was very confident I would be offered the position. I was told I would hear a response from them within a few days, as they were hoping to move quickly. When I didn't hear in a week, I reached out for an update to both the recruiter and the hiring manager. I heard nothing. At the two week mark, I messaged again and was finally told they selected someone else. To take up this much of a candidate's time with a perceived 'urgency' and then ghost them is very unprofessional. At the point someone is interviewed by VP's , it seems like a formality, and may speak to the hiring managers level of confidence choosing a team member to have to rely on 10+ other people for a decision. At a Director level people's careers and recommendations should speak volumes vs. presentations and scrutiny from others that may not even interact with this position. I felt this was being viewed as an entry level position with lots of oversight from others who were only half engaged in the long drawn out process.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at ASPCA in Jul 2025
Interview
The interview was a series of zoom meetings, first with the recruiter then with a full panel of 4/5 people. It took about one to two weeks between each phase to hear back.
Started with a phone screen with general interviewer. Then there was a computer based take home exercise followed by an in person panel interview. After the panel discussion there was another “on the spot” computer based project.
