I applied through an employee referral who also happened to be the hiring manager. Interview process started off well. Went through 1 round of phone screen with HR, then 1 round with the hiring manager, and proceeded to another round with their Director. And all of a sudden after that they ghosted me after explicitly saying they would make a decision in the following 2 days after my interview as it was between me and 1 other candidate. Late to no responses as they kept me hanging. Finally 6 weeks later they let me know they went with someone else.
