The hiring process is actually quite involved for this kind of position. The first level involves the usual online application one often sees for a large corporation. Once completed you will be allowed to apply for jobs for which you qualify (usually determined by an online test of some sort which will inevitably include a battery of rather dubious sounding psychological profiling questions). You will then be contacted if you are chosen to move forward in the hiring process. Following this you will be required to come in for further testing in the form of some mock calls and other job skills testing and the decision as to whether or not to move you to a live interview will be made. Show up well dressed (no tie necessary, but it doesn't hurt). By this time your technical competence has been assessed, but you will get more technical questions nonetheless. This may not be evident due to the technical questions, but I assure you the interviewer will be looking at your personal skills as well. This is a customer oriented job. Past this you will have to wait for a background check, which I assure you will be very thorough, and then a drug test. Pass those and you're in. Have fun, but expect to work hard for what you are paid at least at the outset.
