      Wire Technician Interview

      Apr 2, 2015
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at AT&T in Feb 2015

      Interview

Filled out online application and immediately got an email to schedule a test at Pearson VUE. Completed test and waited probably a month before getting asked to go to a realistic job preview. Sat in a room with other applicants and three or four managers who described the good and the bad of the job. We were also able to ask questions. I made a list and brought it with me. After that you go off one on one with a manager and they ask you generic interview questions. How did you deal with a tough manager, customer or situation. How did you resolve a problem. Stuff like that. After that got a call the same day to schedule a physical and drug test. After taking the physical, the next month people kept calling or emailing me asking for more info about my previous experience, SSN, legal name, other questions I had already answered. After that someone called me with an offer. That's when you find out your pay. I topped out based on previous experience so no room to negotiate. If you don't like the pay and you aren't topped out you can negotiate with your previous experience. The entire process took about 3 to 4 months.
