I applied online. I interviewed at Aaron's (Atlanta, GA) in Sep 2020
Interview
I applied online and an Aaron's recruiter reached out to me. We set up and completed a pre-screen, and I then had a zoom meeting with the hiring manager. It went really well. I then had a second interview with a supervisor. After that, nobody ever reached out to me again.
I suppose I didn't get the job, but if they had reached out to set up the final interview I would have declined and withdrawn from the interview process.
From what I learned from the people I interviewed with, this seems like a still very old school company and is very strict and conservative with their policies and benefits. As a young person, it's not somewhere I wanted to work, and it doesn't seem like there are any young people who work there anyway. Overall, seems like the company is out-of-touch with regards to policies and how they treat their employees. Don't think it was terribly long ago that they got rid of professional dress code.
Also, it seems like the company is extremely understaffed, so most of the corporate employees have unreasonable work loads. Doesn't seem like a good place to be.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Aaron's (Dearborn, MI) in Oct 2013
Interview
I was referred by a current employee. I got a call within a week & the interviewer sent me a business case to prepare. The interview took an hour, I presented the case to 2 finance managers. They asked me questions on my assumptions as well as situational questions. 5 days later i was invited to a talent management conference.
