There were numerous stages in irregular intervals of weeks long at times.
1. Write in length about 2 complex problems you have solved.
2. Meeting the Country Manager in a cafe - overall pleasant talk.
3. Meeting another consultant at their building - 1.5 hrs of various questions including politics and machine learning to mention just a few.
4. After waiting for 3-4 weeks being sure I have failed the interview, being sent a technical test after signing an NDA (so cannot disclose its contents.)
5. Again, after a long wait, invited to the company to give 2 presentations to 4 people. Instead, only 3 were present. The 3rd one kept interrupting me all the time asking irrelevant questions, later accusing me of saying something I did not, because he was not listening for even one second to anything I said, or was just too obtuse to understand it. Spent 4 hours there, not including the hours to prepare the presentations.
6. Again, long wait, I am sure it is finished, but I am invited to meet the person who was missing and another one. Both now and then Ab Initio was supposed to demo me their product, but they did not - they just keep asking me new or sometimes the same questions, by different people. 3 more hours wasted.
7. After 2 months of complete disrespect for my time - a reprehensible behavior on any scale - I am told I did not get the role (saving me a trip to the US or whatever other interim stages they had in store for me) since I do not have enough UNIX or RDBMS expertise. Well... guys, I am glad you discovered it after 2 months of wasting my time!! did my CV say something different?? I don't think so! also, thanks for such a detailed and enlightening feedback after such a long process. I am truly grateful and shall never forget your kindness, consideration and humanity.
