      Insurance Specialist Interview

      Dec 9, 2021
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at AbbVie

      Interview

I was reached out to regarding this position on LinkedIn. When I got the call the woman almost was rushing through the entire interview and not having a discussion. She was not very friendly either as if they already found someone for the position which is fine but I’d say to be a little more curious of other peoples time.

      Insurance Specialist Interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at AbbVie (Portland, OR) in Jul 2022

      Interview

I had a recruiter reach out to me regarding an "Insurance Specialist" role. After reviewing the job description, I knew a couple things. 1) I would be extremely qualified to fulfill all the duties necessary as an Insurance Specialist. 2) This position (for me) would be something fulfilling and something I would thoroughly enjoy. Needless to say, I studied endlessly about the company, the role in addition to answering Abbvies potential interview questions. I felt like I spent a lot of time preparing for the interview. I was confident that my experiences would translate well to what Abbvie was looking for. After interviewing I asked the recruiter if there is anything I can do to provide them with more information about me and my background. The recruiter told me that I was "one of the best interviews she's ever had". She also mentioned that I answered the questions exactly the way Abbvie wanted me to. I was very excited about the possibility of landing the position. The recruiter concluded the interview saying I should hear back on Monday (I interviewed on the previous Friday). Monday passed and I heard nothing. I followed up a couple days later. I heard nothing. The next Monday I followed up again. Later that day I received a reply back from the recruiter stating that the position is no longer full time but now offered as a contract. She asked if I was still interested and I said yes. She also said an entirely different team would be taking over the hiring process and that she no longer had influence on my candidacy. After I expressed interest in a contract role, I never heard back. I understand that recruiters and managers sift through hundreds, maybe thousands of resumes a day and that my profile would more than likely be looked over, or not even viewed at all. After weeks of not hearing back, I really just want to say I feel like Abbvie really didn't respect my time. I would have appreciated improved follow up with Abbvie. I would have appreciated acknowledgment over the situation as a whole. I was incredibly disappointed with how Abbvie failed to recognized the hard work candidates invested in interviewing well. I worked really hard to demonstrate my accomplishments and skills but I feel like Abbvie did not give me the same adequate responses to make me feel like I was respected. Incredibly disappointed. I wish Abbvie the best, but this is not a company I'd like to work for.
