Interview
The interview was scheduled for a week after initial contact. I was interviewed by HR and 2 members of the chemistry department. Questions included: What will be the most difficult part of working here? Tell me about a time you made a mistake? Tell me about a time you had a conflict with a coworker? Where do you see yourself in 2-3 years? Were you ever asked to cut corners in previous positions? What would your manager say about you? Are you a leader or a follower? The interview lasted about 45 minutes and all 3 members were asking me questions and taking notes. I was told it would be another 2-3 weeks to find out if I was successful. Exactly one week after my interview I got a call asking for 3 references. A few days later I was offered the position!
