The interview process was very disappointing to say the least. The whole interview process was a bit of a shame because I truly enjoyed learning about the company and thought I really aligned culturally. However, the interview experience was way below average. Being in talent acquisition myself I understand how important it is to have an engaging interview experience and process in order to attract top talent. I had interviewed with a manager and a senior talent acquisition partner. The structure of the interview felt like I was interviewing with someone junior and this was their first interview they were conducting. There was no engaging conversations or two way conversations. It was very much Q&A. Even when I did respond to the questions they had, I was met with "thank you for your answer" after every question. Typically this is an opportunity for the interview to relate this back to the role or to engage in conversation. Not with this company unfortunately. After going through all the questions one of the interviewers even said "phewww we did it, we got through all the questions". It made the process feel very rushed and she was only concerned about time and being able to ask all the questions she had written out prior. I was also given an assignment for the third round which I have no issue with. When I presented my assignment/pitch during the interview the one response I got from BOTH the interviewers was "thank you for that". Did not provide any feedback on what I did well or what could have been improved on, or how absorb software typically goes about pitching to candidates. I also had just finished a final round with another company and received an offer in hand. I followed up with the to let them know my situation to which I received no response. If they decided to move forward with another candidate, that is perfectly understandable. I want to enter a role where it is the best fit MUTUALLY. However, after going through 3 rounds of interviews and investing hours of my time, I would AT LEAST expect a response or a reply. Especially with another offer that I had kept waiting and going through multiple rounds. Being in TA myself there are small things that I am looking for throughout the interview process because it says a lot about the company and how they go about interviewing for other roles and how they go about creating a good candidate experience. I would be really curious to see how they attract talent with that kind of interview structure and process.
