I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Academy Sports + Outdoors (McKinney, TX) in May 2010
Interview
I had recently just quit Dick's Sporting Goods, which was a terrible place by the way, to work someplace else. I went in for two interviews here. The first one was pretty formal, while asking the standard questions and how you would react in certain situations, kind of like a personality test. Then the second one was more personal, conducted by the guy I was going to work for, He asked about my sports background, work experience, and how I would interact with other employees and customers. All in all, it was an easy process as long as you can be honest. Managers were very even keel and willing to listen to what you had to say. Employees would also be friendly with you as you waited to get interviewed.

Just reaction questions like, "how would you react is someone said/did this, or if they asked that?" just moral questions to make sure employee has a decent moral compass
Good interview process. Just ended not for me. Great questions and probably best for someone who is starting out. Talked about character and how to lead. Overall good starter interview.
