Went to Careers site on Academy website. Filled out application, was called for interview the same day for new store opening. Met with department manager who asked me some questions, went over my application, was offered a postion on the spot. They are looking for a wide variety of people to work in Academy, but college kids are preferred. It's best if you have SOME knowledge of sports or outdoors, but not necessary. It's not exactly a corporate position, so there's not a lot to the interview. If you're outgoing, can put 2 sentences together, carry yourself well (or at least for the interview) you can get hired at Academy.

Good interview process. Just ended not for me. Great questions and probably best for someone who is starting out. Talked about character and how to lead. Overall good starter interview.
